CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 390-385 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.81 g, 6 h). Nude youth, holding reins in both hands, riding horse galloping right. Rev. TAPAΣ Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding akrostolion in his right hand and resting his left on the dolphin; on the side of the dolphin, H. Fischer-Bossert 380 (V169/R295). HN Italy 870. Vlasto 363 (same dies). Lightly toned. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with very minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
